My name is Nate Nault, and I’m what I like to call the first and only “professional study abroad student”. I’m the creator and editor of The Study Abroad Blog, the Study Abroad Editor over at WanderingEducators.com, the Student Study Abroad Expert at StudyAbroad.com, author of The Ultimate Study Abroad Guide, and of course, creator of The Study Abroad Store.

I spent my junior of college studying abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, and am currently enrolled in an intensive Chinese language program in Beijing, China – and while I’m not sure where I’ll land next, I see myself studying abroad for a long time to come.

My expertise comes from having studied abroad on both sides of the globe, managing to travel a large part of Europe (and currently East Asia) on a budget, all while having the time of my life.

As I said on the home page, having either been studying abroad or preparing to study abroad for the past 3 years, I’ve bought a lot of products, electronics, guides, and tools for my time overseas – some of which have been awesome, and some of which have been a complete waste of money.

Unfortunately, I’ve found that you usually can’t tell if a product is worthless or not until you actually get abroad, and when you do make the discovery, there isn’t much you can do seeing as the return shipping costs are probably more expensive than whatever you originally bought.

Long story short, I decided to create The Study Abroad Store to help future study abroad students save time and money, and avoid stress and headaches as they prepare to head abroad.
